When truth survives free speech

Is this an example of the free market of ideas? why or why not?

It is not a typical tpye of the free market of ideas because the court still involved in the case. A free market of ideas should be carry on without the outside regulations and interference.

Does/would FMI work here? Why or why not?
The FMI certainly did not work here because the businessman was defamed, and the general public starts to believe in the inaccurate informations. So the truth did not come to light. 

Can you see evidence of free press in your news journals?
No, because it is not the kind of information that is supposed to be censored.
How might the story and/or language have been different if its writer's free speech was not protected.
If it is not protected, then people would not say something that is against the goverment. Some truth will be censored.
Whose voice/story wouldn't be heard? who would benefit?
the voice form the witness and the general government.

What is News?
Must be true, or shoulb be true
- waht is news?
News are articles or reports that provide lately informations about politics, economy,entertainment and so on.
updated daily, local, national , international
multimedia,world events influence people
up to date,politics entertainment,
value for sharing necessary for citizenship
happened recently people have to be interested.
-what should be news?
News should be something well-organized. It enables the readers to get infromations all around the world as soon as possible.
-who gets to do decide?
the news editor, the jounalist, the reporters and the public. sometime the government.
